STRAIT of Gibraltar

Florida Premiere of a new play called “…smart, intense, and powerfully topical” by Atlanta Arts

In this sexy romance turned terrorism thriller, Miriam, a Jewish woman, and Zameer, a Muslim man from Morocco, meet at a party and fall in love at first sight. When Zameer tells Miriam that he’s undocumented, she offers to help. Is everything as it seems, however?
This is a timely, riveting play that looks at love, truth, prejudice, and civil rights in the age of the Patriot Act.

American Stage is fully ADA compliant and listening devices are available.

1. There is street parking around the theatre. Metered hours vary.
2. The Sundial/Mid Core Parking Garage is at 117 2nd Avenue N., two blocks from the theatre, with $1 fee for all-day Sunday parking.

UChicago alumna Beth McCarty will be in the theatre lobby from 2:15 to 2:55 to welcome you and give you your tickets. If you arrive late, the tickets will be left for you at the box office in the lobby.

After the play, you will have the opportunity to join fellow alumni for dinner at a restaurant within walking distance of the theatre. So that we can make a reservation for the correct number of people, please contact alumna Sharon Dante at or 727-392-0268 to make your dinner reservation.
